ACTIVE SHOOTERS IN THE WORKPLACE

USI Insurance Services and the Public Entities Pool of Ohio (PEP) will be hosting a webinar on Active Shooters in the Workplace. The webinar will focus on how best to prepare your municipality and your employees to respond to an active shooter. USI and PEP will discuss the creation and implementation of an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), the responsibilities and reactions of staff to an active shooter and managing the consequences of an active shooter situation.
PRESENTERS:
Edward A. Chorey (USI INSURANCE SERVICES)
Ed is responsible for production, client, and claims services for property and casualty. He is focused on the key elements revolving around solutions to risk management problems and has targeted: Producer education and support, service plan integration and execution, Client services, including safety plan development and regulatory compliance. Ed has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron and is a graduate of the Back to Business Program of the University of Cincinnati. He has attended many OSHA sessions.
Robert M. Beglin (USI INSURANCE SERVICES)
Rob is responsible for new business development and client services. He spends the majority of his time working with Public Entity clients. He brings 15 years of property and casualty insurance experience to USI Insurance Services. His focus is on municipal entities and school districts in Ohio. Rob graduated from Indiana University, with a B.S. in Business Marketing. He got his MBA in Business Administration from Thomas More College, from which he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Greg Songer (PUBLIC ENTITY POOL OF OHIO – PEP)
Greg is the Loss Control Supervisor for the Public Entity Risk Services of Ohio. He has over 30 years in insurance risk management and has been servicing Public Entity Pool of Ohio (PEP) accounts for 11 years. Greg is a graduate of the University of Dayton, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and has the Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) designation from The Institutes. Greg also is a Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI), and is a Professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Each session is limited to 50 registrants. However, registrants are encouraged to set up for the webinar in a conference room, with a speaker phone and computer screen, and to invite other city officials to attend. Registrants are encouraged to notify Cyndie (614.221.4349) of the number of participants attending the webinar (for our records).
